This 1927 Rolls Royce Phantom I was likely rebodied as a Shooting Brake (estate wagon) after WWII like many other large cars of the era. Although a running car when it was brought to us it needed a number of items addressed:
The Rocker arm assembly was removed and disassembled to free up the adjustment cams. Two of the adjusters were found to be stripped and were replaced with new units. Once reinstalled the rockers were adjusted and the engine now runs quieter.
A fuel pump which was added to replace the original Autovac was replumbed as a backup if needed and the Autovac vacuum pump was put back into service.
The carburetor was be rebuilt with new needles and seats.
New tires were mounted and the brakes inspected, relined and adjusted.
All fluids were of course changed. The oil was sent out for analysis to help determine the true health of the engine since we have very little information on its history.
